Hey, it’s Allison! I’m a designer living in Virginia. I currently attend MICA with majors in Graphic Design and Humanistic Studies. I still have so much to absorb from the world, but I learned that I love creating brand identities, print and web designs. I am always inspired by typography and often trying to identify the typeface in signs, packages, presentations and everywhere (I’m using Avenir here if you're wondering too).
You already know I love writing and talking, but why? Besides being a chatterbox, I’ve always loved the idea of unity and communication. I spent my childhood in California and moved to Japan in middle school. I learned Mandarin from my family, English from school and then Spanish in Japan. From traveling around often, I realized I valued communication deeply. Not only that, I saw graphic design as a universal language. Many icons, signs and symbols are similar across different cultures and who designed them? Graphic designers. I believe designers are either bridge builders or breakers and I am fascinated by that.
