Gina Le Hair Salon is an independent hair salon based in the Meatpacking district of New York. It aims to be a warm, welcoming boutique salon that services all genders and ethnicities, catering especially to those in the neighborhood. While they have a diverse variety of customers, their primary customers are adult 25 years and older of all genders. In this project, I found a balance in creating a clean and visually pleasing design, while also catering to the client needs and tastes.
Gina Le Hair Salon has collaborated with Fashion Week multiple times. The challenge was to create a site that:

Expressed a friendly, neighborhood business, while staying clean and professional

Easy to navigate and access information
I started out with sketches, which developed into wireframes and quick designs expressing styles and tones. My initial concepts were crazy and experimental as I explored organic shapes, grids and airy styles. In my refined my sketches, I merged some of the layouts together and designed for a more elegant and sophisticated feel.

From our proposed layouts, the clients chose their favourite and we started developing it conceptually and building the site. The final site included coding their own service menu, which personally, I enjoyed and had lots of fun with.
